Hello, the birth notarization is handled in the notary office where the household registration is located or where you were born.

Birth notarization shall be under the jurisdiction of a notary office with foreign jurisdiction where the parties have their domicile or where the facts occurred.

For birth notarization, the parties concerned shall submit the following documents and materials to the notary office:

1. The resident identity card (passport) of the party concerned and its copy.

2. The household registration book and its copy or the household registration certificate issued by the police station.

3. Letter issued by the personnel file management department (unit personnel organization department, talent exchange center, neighborhood office where the household registration is located, and township people's government) to prove the fact of his birth. If the party concerned is a minor, a certificate can be issued by the personnel file management department of his parents or the subdistrict office, the township people's government or the police station where the household registration is located.

4. If the party concerned cannot personally go to the notary office for notarization and needs to entrust another person to act as an agent, the agent shall submit the power of attorney and a copy of his resident ID card.

5. As the United States, France, Colombia, Austria, Thailand and other countries all require photos to be attached to birth certificates, the parties concerned should submit several recent two-inch half-length bareheaded photos corresponding to the number of documents applied.

Birth notarization is an activity of the national notary office to prove the fact that the person was born in China according to the application of the party concerned. If the party concerned was born in other countries or regions, and the fact that he was born abroad is recorded in the household registration file when he returns to China for settlement, the notary office may also issue a notarial certificate for him according to the household registration file.
