Battery maintenance skills

1. Do not turn on headlights or fans, and do not use power windows before starting the vehicle. Even at night, wait until the engine is idling before turning on or using these big power consumers.

2. Before parking, check whether the electric window has been raised, whether the headlights have been turned off, whether the air conditioner has been turned off, whether the skylight has been turned off and whether the fan has been turned off.

3. If you often travel at night, you rarely use the car during the day, or you only use the car for short distances during the day. For several months, I have to go to the auto repair shop regularly to charge and maintain the battery, once every six months.

Don't use the electric fan when you are waiting for someone to stop. Continuous power supply to the fan may cause serious battery loss, thus preventing you from starting the engine smoothly again.

For vehicles using traditional batteries, always pay attention to the height of battery liquid and keep it between the upper and lower limit marks on the side of the battery. Because too much battery liquid is easy to overflow and corrode the car body, too little battery liquid can not exert enough power. If the liquid level is found to be lower than the lower limit, distilled water or special rehydration should be added in time, and drinking pure water should not be used instead, because various trace elements contained in it will cause damage to the battery. Maintenance-free batteries will not be short of battery liquid, and you don't have to replenish water yourself.

If you are using an old-fashioned ordinary battery, you must keep the vent holes on the six nuts on the upper surface unobstructed to prevent the shell from bursting due to the high air pressure in the internal unit when the battery is charged or discharged.

If the technical car is not used for a long time, it should also be started to charge the battery regularly to avoid shortening the battery life due to excessive self-discharge.
