Where is the folder where Android phones store short messages, and what is the specific path?

Android SMS is stored in/data/data/com.android.telephony/databases, but this directory is on the system disk, so you can't find this directory by plugging your phone directly into your computer. You can find the SMS folder and export it to your computer for viewing according to the following steps.

1. First of all, you need a Root Android phone, because SMS is stored in the system disk of the phone. Without Root, we can't directly access the files on the system disk. You can search online for "360 one-click Root" to root Android phones.

2. Then install a software called "RE Manager RootExplorer" on the Android phone.

3. Open the "RE Manager RootExplorer" software on the mobile phone and enter the "data \ data \ com.android.phoney \ databases" folder, where Android mobile phone messages are saved. Specifically, it is saved in "mmss. db" and "mmss. d b-wal" files. We can check these two files and copy them. If there is no "mmsms.db-wal" file in your mobile phone, it means that all your short messages are saved in the "mmsms.db" file, and there is no need to copy the "mmsms.db-wal" file.

3. After copying, we click the folder at the top of the "..." window to return to the previous folder until we return to the root directory.

4. Find the "sdcard" folder in the root directory, click to enter, and then paste the two (or one) files copied first into this folder.

5. Connect the mobile phone to the computer, then open the drive letter where the mobile phone is located, and copy and paste the file just copied to the sdcard into a folder of the computer again.

Note: My mobile phone is a Samsung Galaxy phone, so the drive letter of my mobile phone shows Galaxy MEGA2. If your phone is not a Samsung model, the characters displayed on the phone's drive letter will be different.

6. After exporting to the computer, you can't directly open the SMS database file. You can download "Louyue SMS Recovery Software" and open the file mmssms.db to recover the deleted SMS content in Android phone.
