May 31 On the same day, Meizu held a smart life conference as scheduled, bringing its first smart watch MEIZU Watch. This smart watch is priced at 1,499 yuan and is available in two colors: inkstone and azure. It will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on June 1.

Compared with other similar products, the biggest highlight of MEIZU Watch should be Flyme for Watch. The system is developed based on native Android and can implement some functions of the Flyme system and apply them to the watch. More importantly, Meizu cooperates with App developers to launch applicable software for MEIZU Watch.

In terms of functionality, the role of MEIZU Watch and Flyme for Watch is to reduce our dependence on mobile phones. When we use mobile phones every day, we don’t actually need to turn on the watch under all circumstances. For example, checking information can be done on other devices.

However, traditional light smart watches have insufficient computing power and need to consider battery life issues, making it difficult to meet the needs of full intelligence. MEIZU Watch is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 flagship processor. After deep battery life optimization at the mobile phone level, the usage time can reach up to 36 hours.

Snapdragon Wear has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores, Adreno 504 GPU, and 750MHz DDR3L memory controller. Compared with the previous generation Wear 3100 installed on other smart watches, the Wear 4100 has an 80% improvement in CPU and memory performance, a 250% improvement in GPU performance, and a 25% reduction in power consumption due to the process upgrade from 28nm to 12nm.

The application ecosystem is the most important attribute of a fully intelligent watch. MEIZU Watch not only supports Alipay payment codes, but also joins apps such as Baidu Maps, Sogou Input Method, and Tenengxing. MEIZU Watch is equipped with a 46mm Gorilla Glass 2.5D curved AMOLED screen with a screen density of up to 326PPI. Meizu said that it did not make other size versions this time because 46mm meets the needs of most users, and the hardware configuration of small dials will definitely shrink. Flyme for Watch not only brings many trendy dials to users, but also artistic dials such as pixel style, punk style, and new Chinese style. MEIZU Watch has the same level of communication functions as a mobile phone, supports Bluetooth, NFC, and eSIM, and has been upgraded to eSIM version 3.0. Meizu has joined forces with China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom. eSIM can provide users with independent call functions and 4G networks. Even if you go out without your mobile phone, Meizu Watch can complete all functions such as communication, payment, and transportation.

Interestingly, as the domestic mobile phone manufacturer with the best linear motor adjustment, Meizu also installed a linear motor inside the watch this time, and adapted it to a variety of vibration scenarios. In addition to smart watches, this conference also brought new news about Lipro. Lipro has reached cooperation with many domestic companies and launched a new version of Meizu Lipro LED, priced from 99 yuan. Meizu also launched new Lipro ceiling lamps and other smart lifestyle products. Meizu Lipro has joined the HarmonyOS Connect smart ecosystem and is actively adapting. Meizu said that Lipro will be the best protector of Huawei’s ecosystem.
