Relevant provisions of the Regulations on the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law: Article 16: Motor vehicles shall undergo safety technical inspection according to the following time limits from the date of registration:

(two) trucks and large and medium-sized non-operating buses in 10 years 1 times; 10 years or more, every 6 months 1 time;

(3) Small and micro non-operating passenger cars shall be inspected every 2 years within 6 years 1 time; More than 6 years, one year 1 time; 15 years or more, every 6 months 1 time;

(four) motorcycles within 6 years are exempted from inspection by inspection agencies, and when regular inspection is needed, the motor vehicle owner can directly apply to the public security traffic control department for inspection marks.

(5) Tractors and other motor vehicles are inspected every year 1 time. If the operating motor vehicle passes the safety technical inspection within the specified inspection period, the safety technical inspection will not be repeated.

(six) vehicles that have passed the retirement period can no longer be transferred (bought or sold), but they can continue to be used; If you want to buy or sell, you can go to the vehicle management office to handle the car scrap form (cancel the car file) and then buy or sell.

Vehicle annual inspection procedure

1. Vehicle units or owners need to fill in the Annual Inspection Form of Motor Vehicles and send it to the designated place for annual inspection according to the date specified by the local vehicle management office. After passing the vehicle inspection, the vehicle management organ shall affix a seal on the driving license and the annual inspection form of motor vehicles;

2, long-term mission in the field can not participate in the inspection of vehicles, by the owner of the application, reported by the original vehicle management office commissioned by the resident vehicle management office for inspection. After the inspection, notify the original dmv of the inspection results;

3 due to special circumstances can not participate in the annual inspection of vehicles, should apply to the local vehicle management office in advance for an extension.

1. Expand the inspection-free scope of private cars and optimize the annual inspection cycle (the new regulations will be implemented from 2020120)

On the basis of exempting non-operating minibuses with less than 6 seats within 6 years, 7 to 9 non-operating minibuses within 6 years will be included in the scope of exemption. The inspection of non-operating minibuses with more than 6 years and less than 10 years will be adjusted from 1 time every year to 1 time every two years.

Note that the inspection exemption policy cannot be enjoyed in the following three situations:

2. illegally refitting a car that has been punished according to law;

3, traffic accidents caused casualties.

In addition, cars that have not been registered for more than 4 years since the date of delivery do not enjoy the 6-year exemption policy.
