How to deal with harassing text messages

Set mobile phone harassment interception, block specific numbers, set address book reminder options, turn off iMessage function, and set mobile phone blacklist.

1, set mobile phone harassment interception. Most smartphones offer the function of intercepting harassing messages. Interception rules can be set in SMS applications, including intercepting spam messages and incoming calls with strange numbers.

2. Block specific numbers. Open the information application, select harassing SMS, click the "Details" and "More Information" icons, and then select "Block this calling number".

3. Set the address book reminder option. In the settings of mobile phone, enter the "Notification"-"Information" menu, and select "Reminder from my address book only" to block short messages from strangers.

4. Turn off the iMessage function. If your harassing messages come from iMessage, you can consider turning off this feature.

5. Set the blacklist of mobile phones. Find the target number, select "Block this incoming number" in the settings of the mobile app or add it to the blacklist.

6. Inquire with official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. If you often receive harassing messages from a specific company, you can log in to official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and find the contact information of the company through the inquiry system.
