In this crisp autumn day, we have ushered in the twentieth Teachers' Day! First of all, we express our sincere thanks and heartfelt thanks to all the teachers for their hard work in the past year! Everyone has worked hard!

200 1 it has been three years since the department of land management was merged into the public school of management. In the past three years, with the joint efforts of all teachers in our department, our department has made great progress and development.

As of September 9, 2004, the faculty of our department has grown from 7 when it was just merged into the School of Management to 12 now, including 3 professors, 4 associate professors, 3 lecturers and 2 administrative and teaching assistants. Full-time teachers are all doctoral students or doctoral students, and the proportion of professors and associate professors is 60%. At the same time, there are 5 part-time professors and 4 postdoctoral students. In September 2004, there were 1 19 undergraduates, 57 postgraduates and 28 doctoral students.

In terms of discipline construction, relying on the two first-class disciplines of school public administration and applied economics, our department successfully established a master's degree in real estate economics under the first-class discipline of applied economics in 2003, and officially enrolled nine freshmen in 2004. Our department has the right to award undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees in land resource management and master's degrees in real estate economics, and in 2003, it recruited the first batch of postdoctoral students in public administration, forming a relatively complete discipline talent training system. At the same time, in MPA professional degree education, our department has two major directions: urban construction, real estate development and land management. The first batch of students graduated in the spring of 2004 and successfully obtained the MPA degree.

In terms of scientific research innovation, teachers in our department have undertaken 3 projects of National Natural Science Foundation (coordinated development of real estate industry and national economy, land management in real estate development, research on price mechanism in the process of land urbanization), 2 special projects of Ministry of Education, more than 10 projects of Ministry of Land and Resources, Ministry of Science and Technology, provincial and ministerial projects of National Development and Reform Commission, Beijing and many other projects at all levels, and the per capita scientific research funds rank in the forefront of the whole school.

In terms of international academic exchanges, in the past three years, our department has received dozens of foreign visiting scholars and held dozens of seminars and lectures on various topics. At present, it has cooperated with the Royal Institute of Surveyors, Cambridge Institute of International Land Management, American Urban Economics and Real Estate Association, American Real Estate Appraisal Association, Lincoln Land Policy Institute, University of Texas (Arlington), University of California (Berkeley), National University of Singapore, Tel Aviv University, Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, Hong Kong University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Taiwan Province University of Political Science, Feng Jia University of Taiwan Province, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Netherlands and other countries and regions.

In terms of student training, according to the rapid development of economy and society, our department timely adjusts the student training program to make it more suitable for social needs in curriculum setting. Under the severe employment situation of college students in recent two years, the employment rate of graduates of our department has been in the leading position of the college, especially under the severe situation that two graduates graduated at the same time this year. As of June 2004, the employment signing rate of students in our department reached 96.2%, and the graduate class of 2002 was nicknamed "the first class of the National People's Congress" by the majority of students on the school bbs.

Looking back on the past three years, we are sincerely gratified. With the support and help of school and college leaders and colleagues, the teachers and students of the whole department went hand in hand and made great progress and development.
