2017 Xi Travel Guide

Xizhou is a city full of humanities and history. It was once the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties and one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. Xi'an's cultural heritage has not been interrupted. Not only is there delicious food, but there are also many magnificent buildings. This is the 2017 travel guide to the West.

The summer vacation is coming to an end, but unfortunately Zhu Xiansen and I have never gone out together once. So I plan to go out for a few days on the 20th.

The requirement is not long, just three or two days. Take your time, take your time, it’s best to have some snacks to satisfy our two greedy cats.

I initially booked Xuzhou, Yunlong Mountain, Yunlong Lake, Guishan Han Tomb, and Yaowan Ancient Town. Three days is enough. But when it comes to Xuzhou, everyone says it’s boring and not delicious.

So the day before the trip, I gave up. Alas, it's a pity that I have my strategy, I still have fried chicken and cornbread. Then choose a nearby one as soon as possible. The train journey takes no more than 5 hours. Finally, I chose Xi'an.

During the three-day trip, students from Xi suggested that the ancient city wall, Bell and Drum Towers, Muslim Street and Tang Furong Garden would be enough. Because when we went to Xi'an, we refused to go to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses.

It’s not that the Terracotta Warriors and Horses are bad, it’s just that we don’t appreciate them. Looking at those terracotta warriors and horses is a bit boring. I booked a ticket for after 2 noon the next day. I checked the weather and it was raining heavily the next day! That sadness.

I wanted to change my visa, but I didn’t give up. I pray that the weather forecast in Xi'an is not accurate. So I set out on the road anxiously.

We arrived in Xi'an at 8 a.m. the next day because we didn't take the bus until after 3 p.m. I have been worried about rain, so I decided to go to Shanbo first. At the very least, I don’t have to be exposed to the rain indoors.

Therefore, when we arrived in Daxi'an, there was no need to develop anything. The sky is clear and the clouds are clear and the wind is gentle. My mood suddenly improved.

Take a bus from the West Railway Station to the Shaanxi Museum and see the long queue.

Ask for 3,000 votes in the morning, and continue to collect 2,000 votes at 12:30 in the afternoon.

Okay, since there are no free tickets, let's go. I've seen the Nanjing Museum and the Palace Museum, but I don't think they're worth seeing.

Because the road was unfamiliar, I called Didi Express and went straight to Qujiangchi Heritage Park. Although the big back door says 5A Scenic Spot, it doesn't look like it.

However, this is not important. When we started, our intention was to have fun. So I went in for a walk.

Qujiang Pool

After entering, you will find a large park built around Qujiang Pool.

Some of the statues inside are attached to the glass door frames, with cultural relics of a certain era written on them. Unfortunately, if they weren't archaeologists, we wouldn't be able to identify them.

It just looks good. The park has lush green plants and clear lake water, which is great for taking photos.

Chang'an Style

It wasn't until I saw this "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" in the park that I really realized that this was the famous Chang'an.

This is the legendary story of Yang Yuhuan in the year of Chang'an. The powder and pigments of the Sixth Palace disappeared into nothing. Tang Zainian and the emperor gave up his early hearings from then on.

Unfortunately, the sun was a little hot, we were a little hungry, and then a little tired, so we happily decided to go to Huimin Street to find delicious food.

But from Qujiang Pool to Huimin Street, there are really many wrong ways in between, complaining about Xi'an's subways and buses. There are too few subways, only three, and bus stations are too difficult to find.

Foodie Paradise

When we arrived at Huimin Street, it was around two o'clock in the afternoon and there were still a lot of people. There is still a long queue for Lao Bai’s Roujiamo. Every shop selling mutton steamed buns is basically full.

First we went to Grandma Hua’s sour plum soup, and then we went to Lao Jin’s mutton steamed buns. In fact, I don't think I like any of Xi'an's snacks, such as meatballs and spicy hotpot. I don’t think the Malatang in Xiaoyao Town is as delicious. The thick buns are not as delicious as the sesame seeds at home.

Forget it, Zhu Xiansen is full of yearning for Xi’an’s food. Then eat it. Overall, it tastes pretty good. Mutton buns are just 35 yuan a bowl. After dinner, I didn’t want to visit Muslim Street at all and went directly to the hotel to have a good sleep.

I don’t want to be hot and sleepy under the scorching sun. We stayed in a hotel about 1.5 kilometers away from Muslim Street. Walk from Muslim Street to the hotel.

The hotel is in good condition, but the wifi signal is crazy.

In addition, the hotel also thoughtfully prepared fruit cake and milk biscuits, which are commendable. For more than 200 nights, I feel that the price/performance ratio is good.

Yunxi Holiday Hotel

I slept until about 5 pm, got up and ate Xi'an rice noodles, and then went to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda from the Bell Tower subway station. Went to see the musical fountain at 9pm.

I had praised the weather in Xi'an for being great, but when I went out it started raining. In addition, from the hotel to the Bell and Drum Tower, you have to pass through the commercial center of Xi'an. Girls can go shopping at buy buy.

Night time

It was only seven o'clock when we arrived at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. We just walked around for a while. The musical fountain is in the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Those who have the energy can go to the Datang Evernight City next to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

We didn’t go. We waited for the fountain, thinking it would start at 8:30, but it turned out that it only started at 9:00 in summer.

While waiting, unfortunately, I met several people selling roses. What's even more uncomfortable is that adults are selling there with little girls of five or six years old.

All kinds of persuasion and buying, euphemistically called encouragement and encouragement, leaving a note for the child.

Although a rose costs ten yuan, which is not expensive, I feel that if children are really allowed to exercise, adults should not help.

Is it really good to let such a young child come out to "train"?

In the end, Zhu Xiansen couldn’t say one sentence: I wish my sister to become more and more beautiful. I just bought one. Fortunately, this rose escaped the subsequent waves of hard bubbles.

Xi'an Rose

The musical fountain started on time at 9 o'clock, maybe because of rain. There are not too many people at night, so you can basically see it.

The musical fountain lasts for twenty minutes. The fountain rises and falls with music and the historical changes of the West. Looks good.

However, I think it would be more beautiful with some light changes.

Maybe there are many musical fountains in this city now, so the one in Xi'an is not too special.

However, the night view of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda at night is still good. You can take a look.

Yanta Fountain

The first day ended happily. The second day’s itinerary kicked off with the Lue Horse Market.

In ancient Chang'an, the mule market was supposed to be a market for trading mules and horses, but now it has become a commercial pedestrian street.

After shopping in Luoma Market for almost two hours, I found two pieces of clothing I liked. Then I was satisfied and continued shopping and eating in Huimin Street.

Rome Commercial Street

Because I didn’t go shopping in Muslim Street on the first day, I went shopping cautiously on the second day.

There are many West-specific souvenirs inside. I am a person who cannot resist temptation.

I always like to buy some toys here and there. However, the embroidery, colored sculptures, and shadow puppetry in Huimin Street are really beautiful and adorable.

Peking Opera Puppet Show

Color Modeling

Because I am going to the Tang Furong Garden in the afternoon, I cannot bring too many things, which will increase my burden. So I restrained my desire to buy and picked two shadow puppet paintings to give to my friends.

However, when I went to Furong Garden in the afternoon, I still found it troublesome to move things, which mainly affected my posture and boasting, haha.

In addition, if a friend goes to Huimin Street and wants to bring a shadow puppet show, I recommend this store. Although the price is not the cheapest, the workmanship is really exquisite. In addition, the boss will seriously recommend you. Of course, you can also choose what you like and have it mounted for you on site.

I guess the boss had a minor accident with his hand, but the job was great and it didn’t affect him at all.

At that time, I thought that I must write about this store in my article to help promote it. (Because it is not well-known, I can only "omit" it.) Unfortunately, I didn't ask for the location, but I think if you are smart, you can definitely find Didi through the pictures.

Shadow Puppet Specialty

After lunch at Huimin Street, we went straight to the Tang Dynasty Furong Garden. The subway to Tang Furong Garden is not direct, you need to take a car.

After waiting for a long time, I called the express train. A sad thing happened. Because I had purchased the tickets online in advance, I just needed to pick them up.

I'm a little confused. I didn’t check the text message again to confirm the ticket pick-up location. I just took it for granted that tickets would be available at all ticket offices.

When you call a taxi, you look for the ticket office, which is located at the east gate.

When you arrive at the East Gate ticket office, you know you need to go for a walk. Once I wanted to give up the afternoon trip, but suddenly found myself a little lazy. I used to be able to walk.

It was Zhu Xiansen who kept cheering for me, and the Tang Furong Garden trip was possible.

In fact, the scenery along the way is quite good, such as our villa in Luyu, and near the south gate, there is a market restaurant imitating Chang'an.

Do something, okay?

At around 4 p.m., we successfully collected our tickets and entered the Furong Garden. Then start walking slowly, watching the scenery, resting, chatting, and taking photos.

Actually, I think when we travel, sometimes we just switch from the park at home to a park in another place. It’s just that the mood has changed and the scenery is a little different.

Overlooking Furong Lake

Furong Garden is not particularly big, and is surrounded by the scenery of Furong Lake. This is the royal garden of the Tang Dynasty. There are several Tang-style buildings inside, not many compared to Qingming Shanghe Garden.

There will be some performances at specific locations during each time period. You can receive a park guide after entering. Note: Be sure to get two copies, a park topographic map and a performance schedule.

Otherwise you will miss all the performances perfectly. We only took photos of the park’s conspicuous topography, and the performance schedule was too small to ignore.

On the road, I saw a piece of Xiaohong paper in everyone's hand, and I realized what was going on. I borrowed a photo from a kind tourist.

I think this design is very inhumane and not as considerate as the design of Qingming Riverside Garden.

A travel guide that clearly indicates the performances and itineraries in each place. Extremely convenient.

Tang Paradise

In the afternoon, you will miss some performances. But because there is a large-scale live performance of the Silk Road Carnival and a water curtain movie in the evening, I feel like I can spend three or four hours shopping in the afternoon.

You can take a closer look at Ziyun Tower in Furong Garden, which is equipped with some cultural relics and an introduction to the prosperous Tang Dynasty.

There will be music and dance performances on the third floor. After watching the show, we took a walk by the lake. Because the performance in the evening is still in Ziyunlou Square, we only need to draw a circle around the lake.

Silver Bridge Falls

I like this place very much. When you come in front of you, the water mist formed by the waterfall forms a large aperture, making you feel cool.

I walked all the way through the children's amusement park, came to the teahouse, passed by the apricot garden, and arrived at the women's pavilion I longed for.

Hand Slimming and Beauty

After shaking hands with the lady’s sister, I went up to the lady’s building and overlooked the Hibiscus Garden. If the wine is blowing in the breeze, won't I be happy? It's a pity that there is no wine, so we can only cool down and drink some water.

Ha~ Starting from the ladies downstairs, we basically entered the rest and waiting mode.

Look at the lanterns hanging on the promenade, recite the twenty-four solar terms, watch the big koi carp in the lake, watch the old fisherman catch the little turtle, and watch the hula dance. Of course, you can also participate in waist twisting.

Purple Cloud Tower

It is late at night, the lanterns are on, and the Furong Garden has changed again.

Wait for the large-scale live performance, Silk Road Carnival, which starts at 8:30. People watching the show are reminded to buy tickets for the observation deck, otherwise they will come to the stairs early to find a place.

Although we didn’t go late, we will all sit on the edge of the steps and watch the show in an orderly manner. As a result, everyone rushed into the crowd before the performance started, so there were only people in front and nothing could be seen, only the voice of Tang Dynasty could be heard.

Once the performance starts, tickets for the observation deck will be suspended. Zhu Xiansen has always regretted not seeing Miss Bikini's performance and hot belly dance.

The water curtain movie starts at 9pm: Monkey King vs. Erlang Shen. There will be a musical fountain before the start. There are many more lighting colors than the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Dancing Fountain

Water curtain movies should be available in many places now. I don't think it's as good as I imagined.

Not as good as live performances. However, when you come, you can calm down and appreciate it. I guess the kids will enjoy it more.

After watching the show, it was already past nine o'clock. If you want to continue playing in the garden, you can. It didn't close until about ten o'clock.

In the quiet night, we both slowly returned home.

It’s especially lovely at night.

When you go out from Tang Furong Garden, take a bus to the train station, and see the word "Xi'an" or "Dough", I
