Except when stopping, never take off the gear and apply the brakes, regardless of whether you have ABS or not. Braking in a low gear can reduce the speed of the vehicle faster by using the deceleration effect of the engine. For cars without ABS, taking off the brakes can easily cause the tires to lock up. If the front wheels lock up, they will lose control of the direction of travel and the car will move in the direction of inertia. Of course, even if the brakes are put into the gears, the vehicle will not encounter any sudden changes. When this happens, don't step on the brake pedal all at once, instead apply it gradually. If the speed is high or you need to brake as soon as possible, you can directly downshift and brake. 4. Route When driving in bad weather, in addition to paying attention to your own driving skills, you must also pay attention to route selection. Don’t blindly drive on the ring road. In fact, many main roads and auxiliary roads on the ring road are not necessarily more difficult to drive than the main ring road. When going up or downhill, use low gear to pass smoothly, and it is not advisable to change gears midway.
