Can iPadair2 receive ordinary messages?

Ipad air2 4G version can send and receive text messages.

The operation is:

Step 1: Click the icon of the desktop teasing settings.

Step 2: Open the message preview:

Step 3: Enter an Apple account and click the login option.

Step 4: After the system is verified, it shows that iMessage is activated and turned on:

Step 5: Click the icon on the desktop to tease imessage.

Step 6: Click the blue plus sign icon in the upper right corner to open the address book on the iPad and select the contact who wants to send instant messages:

Step 7: Enter the information content and click Send.
