How to restore the factory settings of Android phones?

Restore the mobile phone to its original factory condition. This operation will delete all data in the storage space, including:

Your account

System and application data and settings

Installed applications, music, pictures and all files in the internal storage space.

Warm reminder:

1. Please back up your data in time before restoring the factory settings (third-party applications such as QQ and WeChat need to be backed up separately); Restore factory settings. The system version will not change.

2. Please cancel Huawei account before the mobile phone is restored to factory settings, otherwise the mobile phone may not be activated after reset. (Exit mode: open the settings, enter Huawei account in the search box to enter the account center, and click Exit account at the bottom of the account center interface).

3. If you log in to Google account, you will be asked to verify the account password after the factory settings are forcibly restored. Please enter the password of your previously logged-in account to start normally. If you forget your Google account password, please follow the steps of forgetting your password to restore your Google account details.

Method 1:

Open the settings, click System and Update > Reset > Restore Factory Settings, and click Reset Phone. If the screen lock password is set, please enter the correct password and reset it according to the screen prompts.

Method 2:

1. Please make sure that the phone is turned off and the USB cable is not connected;

2. Please enter the recovery mode according to your model:

Mate 40 series, exclusive 20 series, exclusive Z, Maimang 9 5G: Please press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds, and then press and hold the volume up button for about 2 seconds to release; After about 10 seconds, the black screen will enter recovery mode.

Non-physical volume button mode: After the phone starts to vibrate, press the power button 5 times to enter the recovery mode.

Other models: press and hold the power button and volume up button, wait for 5 seconds after the phone vibrates, and enter the recovery mode.

3. Please press the volume up and down keys or the touch screen to clear the data, and press the power button to confirm;

4. By pressing the volume up and down keys or clicking the touch screen, select to restore the factory settings, and press the power button to confirm;

Warm reminder: Some models need to enter "Yes" for secondary confirmation before returning to factory settings.

5. After the factory settings are restored, click the Back button, and the phone will return to the recovery interface. At this point, please click to restart the device to enter the mobile phone desktop.
