How to use the authentication tool at Bank of Communications

The e-banking identity authentication tool is a means for customers to verify their identity and provide transaction security authentication when handling business on the Bank of Communications’ e-banking channels. Currently, the Bank mainly has SMS passwords, first-generation KEY, smart network shield, Mobile Magic Card four authentication tools.

1. SMS password

SMS password refers to the SMS password sent by the Bank of Communications and transmitted through the special equipment of the communication operator, and finally received by the mobile phone (registered mobile phone number) signed by the Bank of Communications e-banking customer. Contains a one-time transaction verification password authentication tool. Customers enter the one-time password generated by Bank of Communications via their mobile phone to verify their identity and complete the e-banking-related transaction authentication procedures.

Second generation KEY

Complete identity authentication by connecting to the customer's transaction terminal for digital signature, which has the advantages of high security and strong exclusivity. Individual customers verify their identity by inserting a generation KEY into the transaction terminal and entering their password. After passing the verification, they complete the e-banking-related transaction authentication procedures through digital signatures.

3. Smart Network Shield

Smart Network Shield is suitable for online banking, electronic payment, mobile banking and other applications. It integrates two identity authentication tools, dynamic token and digital certificate, into one. It can further improve the security of electronic channel authentication and enable cross-channel authentication of authentication tools. Customers who open online banking with their valid ID and Pacific Card can apply for the Smart Network Shield certificate authentication tool at the same time. The same customer can only apply for one Smart Network Shield.

4. Mobile Magic Card

Mobile Magic Card is installed in the customer’s mobile phone and completes the digital signature information interaction with the bank through the mobile phone digital SMS channel to achieve customer identity authentication.

That is, the customer's mobile phone receives the one-time encrypted verification digital text message sent by the Bank of Communications. After verifying that the transaction content is accurate, the customer enters the mobile phone magic card password to sign the transaction information, and the mobile phone automatically replies to the text message and transmits the signature data upstream. Go to the Bank of Communications server to complete the e-banking-related transaction authentication procedures. Its advantages include a wide range of applicable channels and convenient transactions.
