The development trend of point-to-point SMS

From 20 14 to 1-5 months, the national mobile SMS business volume was only 3146.2 billion, down 18.4% year-on-year, of which point-to-point SMS still accounted for more than half; MMS business volume was only 26.09 billion, down 30.6% year-on-year. The monthly average number of point-to-point SMS messages and MMS messages decreased to 39.8 and 2.2 respectively, and the monthly average number of point-to-point SMS messages decreased by 19.8% year-on-year. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology pointed out that mobile Internet services such as WeChat continue to replace traditional SMS and MMS services.
