You can receive short messages. Call forwarding means that when the phone user doesn't want to answer, it's inconvenient to answer, or the phone can't answer because the phone is out of power or faulty, the function of forwarding the call to other phones can be set. Call forwarding is only the setting of the call, and it has no effect on the short message for the telephone service.
