When a user makes a call through SOS, the iPhone will automatically dial the local emergency number. In some countries and regions, users may need to select the required services. After the emergency call is over, the iPhone will notify the emergency contact person set by the user by SMS.

Introduction of emergency contact service

When users make calls through SOS, iPhone will automatically dial local emergency numbers, such as police, fire or emergency. If the user adds an emergency contact, after the emergency call is over, iPhone will notify your emergency contact via SMS unless the user chooses to cancel.

Make an emergency call on iPhone 8 or later by holding down the side button and any volume button until the SOS emergency contact slider appears, and then dragging the SOS emergency contact slider to make an emergency service call.

If the user continues to hold down the side key and volume key instead of dragging the slider, the system will start the countdown and give an audible reminder. If the user keeps pressing these buttons until the countdown ends, the iPhone will automatically call emergency services.
