How to run for the district people's congress

Election of deputies to the National People's Congress:

1, direct election, that is, voters directly elect deputies to the National People's Congress. Deputies to the people's congresses of cities not divided into districts, municipal districts, counties, autonomous counties, townships, nationality townships and towns are directly elected by voters.

2. Indirect election, that is, the people's congress at the next lower level elects deputies to the people's congress at the next higher level.

I. Duties of deputies to the National People's Congress:

1. Seriously study the Constitution, laws and regulations, the line, principles and policies of the party and the state, the resolutions and decisions of the people's congresses at higher levels, and the theoretical knowledge of the work of the people's congresses, and strive to improve their own quality.

2. Abide by the Constitution, laws and regulations, and assist in the implementation of the Constitution, laws and regulations and resolutions and decisions of the National People's Congress in production, work and social activities.

3. Attend the meetings of the People's Congress on time, carefully consider the proposals and reports included in the agenda of the Congress and express opinions, put forward proposals and suggestions, criticisms and opinions, and strive to exercise various functions and powers during the Congress.

Two, the representative shall perform the following obligations:

(1) Abide by the Constitution and laws, keep state secrets, and assist in the implementation of the Constitution and laws in production, work and social activities;

(two) to attend the meeting of the people's congress at the corresponding level on time, carefully consider the proposals, reports and other issues, express their opinions, and do a good job in all the work during the meeting;

(3) actively participate in the inspection, special investigation, law enforcement inspection and other performances organized by the unified organization during the intersessional period;

Three. Conditions for the election of deputies to the National People's Congress

(1) Good political quality. Be loyal to the motherland and the people, support the leadership of China, support the Socialism with Chinese characteristics system, and conscientiously implement the Party's line, principles and policies.

(2) Good moral conduct. Strictly abide by the Constitution and laws, be exemplary in observing social morality, professional ethics and family virtues, be honest and self-disciplined, be fair and upright, be honest and trustworthy, and have a good social image.

(3) Good performance ability. Have a certain level of education, good health, strong willingness to perform their duties, and be able to perform the duties of deputies to the National People's Congress.

The National People's Congress is composed of representatives elected by provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, special administrative regions and the armed forces. All ethnic minorities should have an appropriate number of representatives.
