Detailed meaning: The function of camshaft is to control the opening and closing of valve. In the variable valve timing system, the electronic camshaft control valve (or oil control valve, OCV) adjusts the angle of the camshaft by changing the oil pressure of the camshaft adjuster (mechanical) according to the instruction of the engine control module (ECM) to ensure that the valve opens and closes at the best time. The function of camshaft position (CMP) sensor is to transmit camshaft position (relative position of valve) to electronic control unit (ECU) in the form of voltage signal. This fault code indicates a (intake/left/front) camshaft position (CMP) sensor circuit error. Causes of the failure include the camshaft position (CMP) sensor circuit, the connector itself or the electronic control module (PCM or ECM).
