Apple IOS 14.5 version, there is an old bug that wants to drop the phone. Do you?

Most users have updated to the developer version of IOS 14.5beta2, but they are currently facing a very thorny problem, which has always existed before. Doesn't Apple pay any attention to the frequency of such problems?

The main problem is that when users use their mobile phones normally, they will receive a pop-up prompt every time the screen is locked and unlocked: there is a new iOS update available, please update it from iOS 14 beta, but when users access the system, the official has not released any update package information, which inevitably makes many users unhappy, as if playing tricks on people.

In fact, this bug phenomenon has appeared frequently many times, basically only in the developer version, and the official version has not encountered this problem.

Example:

This phenomenon appeared in the development version of IOS 12beta released on 20 18, which was delayed for half a month. Apple urgently launched a temporary update package to fix it.

The development version of IOS 14.2beta4 released in 2020 also appeared again, and Apple adopted the quasi-official version of 14.2GM, which was repaired in a week or so.

Not long ago this year, the development version of 14.5 beta 2 released by Apple reappeared. After most users gave me feedback, I confirmed that it was still an old problem.

Problem analysis:

In fact, the bug phenomenon that frequently prompts updates comes from within the system. Generally speaking, there are related calculation functions in the system to verify whether the beta system has expired. If it expires, the user will be prompted to update it, but there is something wrong with the calculation function, which leads the system to think that the beta version has expired and will prompt you to update it.

At present, the device with this phenomenon is temporarily invalid even if it enters the settings to delete the previously installed [Developer Description File] and installs the [Shield System Update File], because the root cause of this kind of problem appears in the system.

Solution:

1. Users who encounter such problems at present can downgrade to the official version of Ios 14.4 if they really can't accept this phenomenon. At present, only this version of the downgrade channel has not been closed, and other versions cannot be downgraded.

Second, by changing the default date and time of the mobile phone and changing the date and time to the range of the previous week or year, such problems can be temporarily alleviated. However, after changing the year and date, the Apple Store may not be opened, and some App applications and Safari browsers may not be able to connect to the Internet normally.

Regarding the above two methods, I suggest that if users can't accept such frequent pop-ups, they can choose the degraded version of AISI 14.4 on the computer side, which is relatively safe.

If users can be accepted for the time being, but don't expect too much or worry, Apple is expected to release the official version of IOS 14.5 in mid-March, when the version can be updated to fix such problems. It is not known whether the emergency repair update package will be pushed before the official version is released.
