Win 10 What should I do if I forget my account password?

1. If you think the password you entered is correct, but you are prompted that the password is wrong, you can try to adjust the case keys of the keyboard and the numeric keyboard keys to make the input state consistent with the password setting state.

2. If you forget the password, you must first confirm whether the account logged into the system is a Microsoft account or a local account.

Microsoft account operation steps:

1. Use another computer to open a browser and enter the URL.

2. Select "Log in with Microsoft account";

3. Enter your email address, and then click "Next";

If you remember the password, you can try to enter it. If you can log in successfully, you can verify that the password is correct. If you forget your login password, please click "Forgot Password".

Select "I forgot my password" and click "Next";

4. See the following prompt, enter your email address and click "Next";

5. Enter the verification code;

(1) Select "Send Mail to" and click "Next";

(2) Please enter your email address and click "Send Code". At the same time, please log in to check the verification code mailbox;

(3) Please enter the code in Microsoft official website and click "Next";

(4) Enter your new password and select "Next".

6. Complete the account password reset, as shown in the figure "Your account has been restored".

7. After resetting the password of Microsoft account, you need to connect the computer to get the new password information of Microsoft server. Please make sure that the network connection icon in the lower right corner of the login interface is online, and then enter the power-on password (the reset password of Microsoft account) again.

Method 1:

If the password prompt has been set before, after the wrong password is entered for the first time, a password prompt will appear at the bottom of the input box, and the user can enter the correct password according to the password prompt.

Method 2:

1. If there is no password prompt or you can't enter the correct password through the password prompt, you can try to click "Reset Password" (Note: this function is to retrieve the password through the backup key of the previous floppy disk drive. If there is no backup or floppy drive before, this function cannot be used).

2. After clicking, the Password Reset Wizard will appear.

3. Click Next to select the default floppy drive.

4. If there is no floppy drive, you will be prompted "Please insert a password reset disk in the drive", as shown in the following figure:
