On March 5th, the People's Court of Duanzhou District of Zhaoqing City issued a public verdict on a crime of collecting illegal debts. The defendant Li and other four people were sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment ranging from one year to eight months and fined for the crime of collecting illegal debts.

During the period from 20 17 to 20 18, the defendants Li and Qiu repeatedly threatened and coerced the victims to repay their debts in order to collect illegal debts arising from high-interest loans; From 20 19 to 2020, the defendant Li gathered and hired the defendants Nong and Huang to engage in illegal lending activities, and repeatedly used illegal means such as intimidation to coerce others to repay loans, causing mental stress to the victims, disrupting the social life order and causing relatively bad social impact.

After hearing the case, Duanzhou Court held that the actions of Li and others constituted the crime of illegal debt collection as stipulated in the Criminal Law, and made the above judgment.
