Should banks charge handling fees for donations?

Currently you can make donations through the following methods without handling fees:

1. Online banking donation process:

1. Register as a "Financial@Home" individual Online banking customers.

2. Enter the "Red Cross Society of China" website (/).

3. Click "Online Donation" on the "Red Cross Society of China Website" → fill in the donation form online. Click "I want to donate" on the "Beijing Red Cross website" → fill in the donation form online.

4. Confirm to select "ICBC Online Payment", and the system will automatically link to the ICBC Online Payment page.

5. After entering the correct registration card number and verifying it through U-shield or password card, the donation will arrive in the donation account of the charity in real time.

2. Mobile banking donation process:

1. Register as a mobile banking customer of our bank.

2. Edit the text message in the following format and send it to our bank’s special service number 95588:

JK#project code#cardnumber#amount

Note: 1. For registration Customers, "#cardnumber" in the text message format indicates that the bank card number can be omitted. If you do not enter the card number, the bank will transfer funds from the account of your default payment card when registering for mobile banking (SMS).

2. There is a minimum donation limit of 1 yuan, and the maximum daily donation limit does not exceed 500 yuan.

3. The donation project code of the Red Cross Society of China is 001.
