Where is Taiping's annual custom activity?

In Quanjiao, An Wei, there is a grand event to celebrate the city on the 16th day of the first month every year, which is the annual custom of Quanjiao in Anhui: Go peaceful on the 16th day of the first month. Every year, on the 16th day of the first month, the city is empty, with eight neighbors, supporting the elderly and bringing the young, and throwing their families out. From early morning to late at night, hundreds of thousands of people go for a walk on the Taiping Bridge outside the East Gate, and people jostle each other and climb the bridge along the river, which is spectacular. In certain areas, people set off fireworks, light firecrackers and burn incense candles to pray for good weather, good luck and disaster relief.

In the sense of traditional fitness, Quanjiao people's "going to peace" has been continuously sublimated, gradually enriched and perfected, showing the local characteristic culture and humanistic charm of Quanjiao, and has developed into a folk custom throughout Quanjiao and extending to the whole ancient area south of Huaihe River, which is a "living fossil of Chinese folk custom". The activity of "Going to Peace" contains all the good wishes of individuals, families and society, which is not only the wish of Quanjiao people, but also the psychological call of the whole people. Anhui Province has listed Quanjiao's cultural activity of "Peace on the 16th day of the first month" as a provincial intangible cultural heritage, and is currently applying for a national intangible cultural heritage.
