Changsha University was not renamed Changsha University.

From June, 20438 to February, 2022, the two offices of Changsha have issued relevant documents, proposing to support Changsha University to change its name to Changsha University, and supporting Changsha University to gradually bridge the gap between teaching and administrative space per student according to the relevant indicators of the Ministry of Education, and apply to the Ministry of Education for renaming Changsha University before 2025.

Changsha University, referred to as Growth, is a full-time general undergraduate college approved by the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Education. It is a double-class and high-level application-oriented university in Hunan Province, and was selected as the first batch of new engineering research and practice projects of the Ministry of Education.

Hunan Province's 20 1 1 plan is the national "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" for the integration of application-oriented science, production and teaching, the national innovation and entrepreneurship base for practical education in colleges and universities, and a member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance. As of June 2023, the school campus covers an area of 1970 mu, and the school building area is about 430,000 square meters.
