I grew up in the countryside. I am the eldest daughter of my family, and I have two younger sisters who are three or four years younger than me. Because of the heavy burden at home, I went out to work after graduating from junior high school. In fact, I learned a lot about the city from adults when I was just in junior high school. It was also from that time that I vowed to live the life of an uptown person in the future.

When I first started working, I was still young, and my family didn't trust me to go too far, so I had to work in the county near us. Because my education is not high, I can only be a hotel waiter. After that, I found a well-paid job easily. I met my husband who is three years older than me at work. Although his family is not from the city, he is from a nearby village in the city, which means that his family's conditions can definitely meet my requirements. But then I received it almost every day for several days, and later I learned that it was sent by my mother. Just when I was wondering, my father finally called me. He didn't talk to me much. He just told me that my mother was ill for more than half a year and now she really wants to see me. She tried to contact me on her own initiative, but she didn't know how to talk to me every time. She always sent me empty messages.

After listening to my father's words, I suddenly saw my mother's illness and haggard appearance. She worked hard to raise me, but I don't remember her kindness. After hanging up the phone, I just stood there, and then I couldn't hold on any longer, letting tears wet my eyes. After a while, I stabilized my mood, packed my things and set foot on my way home.
