New scam! "Credit card frozen" can't be believed, many people have been fooled!

At work, Ms. Yu received a short message marked "+86056 188XXX". Because of overdue repayment, Ms. Yu's credit card will be frozen, so let Ms. Yu contact customer service.

Ms. Yu believed it and dialed the number in the text message without much thought. The other party asked Ms. Yu to find a bank card with a deposit of not less than 7000 yuan and provide the card number to the other party.

After that, the other party asked Ms. Yu to send the received verification code, and Ms. Yu did it.

Soon after, Ms. Yu found that the money in the bank card was deducted. After calling the bank's customer service phone, she realized that she had been cheated when she learned that the credit card had not been frozen at all.

Fraudulent steps of swindlers:

1. Knowing that "the card was frozen", the victim dialed the "customer service number" beginning with 400 according to the content provided by the text message;

Second, mastering these three necessary transfer magic weapons, scammers can easily steal the money from the victim's card;

Third, victims will receive short messages with overseas numbers beginning with 008 or +852;

4. The content of the scam message is "Your credit card of China Everbright Bank is frozen due to overdue repayment";

5. Fraud means "two steps", with no technical content. First ask the victim's card number and password in good faith, and then naturally defraud the victim's SMS verification code.

Tips:

1, banks and other financial institutions will not ask for the verification code received by customers' mobile phones. If the so-called official customer service staff asks you for the verification code, you can directly judge it as a fraudster. Once you are cheated, you should call the police as soon as possible.

2. Don't disclose personal credit card number, password and other information to strangers at will.

3. When you receive a message similar to "Credit card is frozen", you should check with the official customer service of the bank at the first time, or go to the counter of a nearby bank to confirm. Never contact the phone number given in the message directly.

4. Don't click on all kinds of links in short messages at will, because Trojan virus may be hidden in them. If you accidentally click on the link, there will be an interface for entering the card number and password, not to mention personal information.
