How to set a custom ringtone for Apple 12 ringtone?

The setup interface of iTunes 12.7 is much simplified, so there are some changes in operation. The following small series teaches you how to set the ringtone under iTunes 12.7 for your reference.

Methods/steps

Start your iTunes 12.7, and click Menu File-Add File to Resource Library to start the interface, as shown in the figure below.

Open the song you want to set as ringtone, as shown in the figure below.

After opening it, right-click the song in iTunes 12.7 and select the song information, as shown below.

Click options in the song information interface, and then set the music clip, start time and end time. The longest ringtone supported by iphone is 40 seconds, and then click OK to return to iTunes 12.7, as shown below.

Click menu file-convert-create ACC version, as shown in the figure below.

Successfully created a 40-second music file. Click on the 40-second song file in the email and choose to display it in Windows Explorer, as shown in the figure below.

In the Explorer, change the extension of the music file to m4r, as shown in the figure below.

Connect the mobile phone to the computer, click the triangle expansion option in front of the iphone, and then click the ringtone option, as shown in the figure below.

Open the folder where the m4r song files are stored, and drag the files directly to the ringtone interface, as shown in the figure below.
