How to donate body in Beijing?

Beijing body donation process:

1. Application for registration

Anyone who lives in this city and volunteers to donate a body for free can go directly to the registration acceptance station. Apply for registration procedures.

(1) The application form shall be made in quadruplicate, and shall be kept by the Municipal Red Cross Society, the registration and acceptance station, the person donating the body, and the executor (family members, relatives and friends, or cadres of the work unit and neighborhood committee).

(2) Go to a nearby notary office for free notarization.

(3) The registration acceptance station will handle the registration procedures based on the notarial certificate and issue the "Volunteer Body Donation Memorial Certificate" uniformly printed by the Municipal Red Cross Society to the registrant.

2. Acceptance procedures at the receiving station

(1) Notification: After the death of the donor, the executor should issue a death certificate in the hospital or street as soon as possible and notify the registration receiving station.

(2) Receiving. After receiving the notice, the receiving station will make preparations to receive the body and send a vehicle to receive the body.

(3) Registration, the following information must be provided when registering at the receiving station: donation number, donation registration number, copy of death certificate, date of death, age, gender, date of donation, name and contact information of the executor, One (1-inch) photo of the donor during his lifetime, a copy of his ID card, and other materials (such as an introduction to the donor’s life story, videos, audios, photos, etc.).

(4) Issue certificates of body acceptance and souvenirs.

Donation conditions

1. Body donation should follow the principle of voluntary and free of charge.

2. Natural persons with full capacity for civil conduct can donate remains.

3. If a person with limited capacity for civil conduct donates his body, he must obtain the written consent of his guardian.

4. According to the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases" and its implementation measures, the remains of patients with "Category A and B" infectious diseases stipulated by the state are not included in the scope of voluntary body donation. Those who died abnormally are not included in the list of voluntary body donations.
