The Method of Resetting windows 10 System Login Password

Forgot the power-on password, this machine can't log in to the system, so it has to go to another computer to reset the computer login password.

Operating steps:

Open the browser, enter: account.live.com, and enter in the address bar;

On the login page that opens, click: Unable to access your account? ;

Why can't we log in? Click: I forgot my password, and then click: Next;

On the page to restore your account, enter the Microsoft account name (the Microsoft account of the computer that forgot the password) and the verification character, and then click Next;

Click Next to open the page where we need to verify your identity. There are three options:

1) email address ABC * * abc*****@sina.com (Microsoft account user name used when installing Windows 10 system), 2) SMS to * * * * * 98 (mobile phone number used when applying for Microsoft account), 3) I don't have any, and the simplest one is the second one: SMS to. Click: SMS to * * * * * * 98;

Click the short message to * * * * * * 98, enter the last 4 digits of the bound mobile phone number, and then click: Send code;

After we click the send code, * * * * * 98' s mobile phone will receive a short message with the security code sent by the Microsoft account group. Open the webpage where you enter your security code. We will enter the security code received by the mobile phone in the box, and then click Next.

On the Reset Password page, enter and remember a new password (not the same as the original password), and enter the same password again for verification. Click Next;

Your account has been restored: You can now log in to your account with new security information-your password has been changed. If two-factor authentication is not enabled, click Next to complete the password reset of Microsoft account for Windows 10 system.

According to the prompt: We strongly recommend that you enable two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication is an advanced security feature, which makes it more difficult for hackers to log in to your account only with stolen passwords. Click: Enable dual authentication;

(Note: Use "Enable Double Authentication" with caution, which is troublesome to operate! )

Open the Microsoft login window, enter the password that has just been reset, and click Login;

After logging in, open the page of setting up double authentication, read the terms in the page clearly, and then click: Next;

Set up an authentication application-which mobile device do you want to install the application on? Here are four choices (you can choose according to your own conditions). Due to the limitation of conditions, I chose other, and then click: Next;

In order to set up the verification program, I clicked: I can't scan the barcode-skip;

Two-factor authentication is enabled. According to the prompt, write down the new code and don't copy it into the computer file. Click Next.

Because I don't want to synchronize Outlook.com email with any of the above devices, please click: Skip;

Other applications and devices also need to apply passwords. Select: Outlook desktop application for computer or Mac, and click: Finish;

Finally, open a web page of security settings and modify the password on 20 15/9/6. The two-factor authentication I enabled is email verification code authentication.

At this point, Windows 10 system forgot to reset the boot login password (Windows 10 system is a bit troublesome to reset the password, so it is better not to forget the password). The above methods are for friends' reference.
