How to shorten long records in WeChat chat?

In WeChat, when the chat record is very long, the system will automatically hide some information and only display the first few messages and the "more information" prompt. Click "More Information" to expand all chats. If you want to manually shorten the chat history for better browsing and management, you can do it in the following ways:

1. On the WeChat chat page, select the chat record paragraph to be shortened, press and hold the chat record part, and select "Save Message" to shorten the chat record and display only the first few messages. If you need to see more content, click "More Information" to expand all chat records.

2. If you need to shorten the whole chat history, you can select the "Settings" button on the chat history page, select "Chat History Management"-"Clear Chat History" in the pop-up menu, check the "Keep Only the Latest" option, set the required number of chats, and the system will automatically clear the earlier chats and only display the latest ones.

It should be noted that the operation of clearing chat records cannot be undone. Please back up the chat records that need to be saved before the operation to avoid data loss and irrecoverability.
