Time to return to school for primary and secondary school students in Guangzhou

According to the Provincial Department of Education’s “Guangdong Province 2022 Spring Semester Student Return to School Work Plan” and with the approval of the Municipal New Crown Pneumonia Prevention and Control Headquarters, the first batch of high school and junior high school students in Guangzhou have returned to school in April. Students will return to school on the 27th. The batches and time arrangements for other students to return to school are as follows:

1. Return arrangements for students in the basic education stage

(1) May 11, first grade of junior high school , second grade students, first grade students and second grade students return to school.

(2) On May 18, primary school students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades will return to school.

(3) On May 25, primary school students in the first, second and third grades will return to school.

The time for students in kindergartens and special education schools to return to kindergarten (school) will be determined separately. Before kindergarten children return to kindergarten, off-campus training institutions are not allowed to carry out offline teaching activities.

2. Arrangements for students in colleges and universities to return to school

(1) After May 11, qualified colleges and universities can arrange for graduating students to return to school.

(2) After May 18, other grades in colleges and universities can arrange for students to return to school in phases, in batches, or at staggered times based on the characteristics of student sources, epidemic prevention and control conditions, and preparation of prevention and control materials.

3. Arrangements for the return of students from secondary vocational schools and technical colleges

(1) On May 18, graduating students from secondary vocational schools and technical colleges will participate in the Guangdong Provincial Vocational college student skills competition contestants return to school.

(2) On May 25, students from the Class of 2018 in secondary vocational schools and students in technical colleges will return to school except for first-year and graduating students.

(3) On June 1, students from the Class of 2019 in secondary vocational schools and technical colleges will return to school.

Schools that meet the conditions for returning to school will arrange for faculty and staff to return to school one week before students return to school, and make preparations for epidemic prevention and control, education and teaching in advance.
