According to the provisions of the Military Service Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), retired soldiers who have been decided by the army to serve in the reserve service shall register for the reserve service with the military service organs of the local government within 30 days from the date of returning to their original residence and become first-class reserve soldiers. Where a reserve force or militia emergency organization has been established in the original place, it will be directly incorporated into the relevant forces and become a first-class reserve soldier.
