Obama wants to recruit more than 30,000 troops to Afghanistan. Why?

Obama hopes that the new Afghanistan strategy will not only focus on how to increase troops to ensure victory, but also how to withdraw troops.

The United States currently has 68,000 troops stationed in Afghanistan. McChrystal proposed an increase in troops, believing that the U.S. military should send about 40,000 additional troops to Afghanistan to ensure victory in the war in Afghanistan. Outsiders estimate that Obama will adopt a "compromise" strategy and continue to send an additional 25,000 to 35,000 people to Afghanistan.
