The riot over dessert defense

One of the victims, Milk, was a homosexual. During his lifetime, he worked hard to fight for the rights of the gay community and was loved by the gay community. On May 21, 1979, a group of homosexuals launched a protest. They gathered outside Castro Street near the municipal building. At first, they only displayed slogans and raised their fists and shouted. The crowd marched from Castro Street to the Municipal Building. The number continued to increase along the way, and finally exceeded 1,000 people.

The march eventually turned into a riot. The city hall was vandalized, windows and doors were damaged, debris was scattered on the street, many police cars were damaged and burned, and many people were injured and sent to the hospital. This riot was called "White Night Riot".
