Notice on Fishing Prohibition in Dongping Lake

In order to protect, multiply and scientifically utilize the fishery resources of Dongping Lake, maintain the normal fishery production order in the lake area and protect the ecological environment of Dongping Lake, according to the provisions of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Fisheries Law and the Notice of the Ministry of Agriculture on Implementing the Yellow River Fishing Ban System, the county government decided to continue to close the lake to Dongping Lake this year. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. The fishing season is from 0: 00 on April 1 day to 24: 00 on August 3 1 day. During the fishing ban, the whole lake is closed to fishing, and all fishing boats and fishing gear are prohibited from fishing in the lake. Fishing boats and fishing gear in the lake must be evacuated before April 1.

Second, delimit three perennial fishing areas in Dongping Lake: First, Daqing River; Second, the waterway and tourist passage designated in Dongping Lake; The third is from the south bank of Huxin Island to panzhuang Island, from panzhuang Island to Houbuzi Old Village Platform, and from Houbuzi Old Village Platform to the north bank of Tushan Island. The area within the four-point connection is conservation zone, a national aquatic germplasm of Dongping Lake. All fishing boats and fishing gear are prohibited from engaging in fishing production in the above three areas all the year round.

Three, after the lake closed to fishing, fishermen engaged in fishing production, to strictly implement the provisions of standardized production and safety production. The minimum mesh size of fishing gear is: the diagonal length of gill net mesh is not less than 60 mm, and the diagonal length of trawl and purse seine mesh is not less than 30 mm.

Four, the relevant units and individuals should consciously abide by fishery laws and regulations. In violation of fishery laws and regulations, Dongping County Agriculture and Rural Bureau, according to the seriousness of the case, made compensation for resource losses, fines, confiscation of fishing gear, confiscation of catches, confiscation of illegal income, revocation of fishing licenses and other penalties. Those who resist inspection, disrupt or destroy the production order and the circumstances are serious shall be transferred to the public security organs for investigation according to law; If a crime is constituted, criminal responsibility shall be investigated by judicial organs according to law.

Five, villages and towns along the lake to set up a special team of clear lake, strengthen the supervision and inspection of the lake, the fishing boats and fishing gear that failed to withdraw according to the prescribed time were forcibly cleaned up, and punished according to the relevant provisions.

Six, lake closure and fishing ban work by the county government unified leadership, county public security bureau, county agriculture and Rural Bureau, county aquaculture development center, Dongping Lake management comprehensive law enforcement brigade and villages and towns along the lake organization and implementation. Towns and relevant departments should closely cooperate with Qi Xin to effectively implement various management measures to create a good environment for fishery production in Dongping Lake.
