Putian Station is located at the junction of Lingmei Village and Liucuo Village, Shi Shui Town, Xiuyu District, Putian City, Fujian Province. The architectural design scheme of Putian Railway Station was reviewed and approved by the former Ministry of Railways on June 23rd, 2008.

On May 22nd, 2009, the groundbreaking ceremony of Putian Station House Project was held in Hushi Town, Xiuyu District. The total construction area is 65,200 square meters, including 30,500 square meters of station houses and 34,700 square meters of awnings. The station has 10 arrival and departure lines, a basic platform and two rubbing platforms. The station building adopts line-side flat type, which is vertically divided into three floors: exit floor, platform floor and entrance floor. The total height of the station building is about 30.6 meters, of which the exit floor is the basement. The total investment of the project is 350 million yuan, and it is planned to be put into use simultaneously with fuzhou-xiamen railway. The design scheme of the newly-built Putian Station in fuzhou-xiamen railway was announced. According to the plan, Putian Station will build a new North Square, which will be connected with the existing South Square. The waiting hall in the middle of Putian Station covers an area of over 65,438+0,000 square meters, with two floors and 4,300 seats, LCD TV monitors and some entertainment programs for passengers. On the left side of Putian Station, there is a ticketing hall with an area of over 500 square meters, and 20 manual ticketing windows are set up. Among them, 17 ticket window sill is 1 m in height, and the other three window sills are about 0.76 m in height, which is a barrier-free ticket window sill specially designed for the disabled. First, 12 manual ticket sales windows will be opened, and the remaining 8 will be determined according to the customer's situation. There are also 8 intelligent ticket vending machines on the side. The ticket gates of Putian Station are located near the platform in the waiting hall, including 4 ticket gates on the first floor and 5 ticket gates on the second floor. A display screen with a length of four or five meters is hung above each ticket gate, which shows information such as "train number, opening point and platform", and three automatic ticket checking machines are installed below. According to reports, Putian Station adopts automatic ticket checking method, and there is no manual ticket checking.
