Construction Scheme of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport

The high-profile master plan and terminal planning of Chengdu New Airport have been released. The scheme designed by the consortium composed of China Southwest Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., China Civil Aviation Airport Construction Group Co., Ltd. and French company ADP INGENIERIE (hereinafter referred to as the Southwest Design Institute Consortium) stands out, which has become the overall planning of Chengdu New Airport and the selected scheme of the terminal building. The process of the terminal building is reasonable, with international and domestic convertible seats, which improves the flexibility to cope with future development.

The shape of the terminal building adopts the Sun God Bird with Chengdu characteristics. The four modular terminals in the terminal area are like four birds carrying the sun, which means that the ancient Shu civilization has continued, passed down and grown in this magical land of Chengdu for more than 3,000 years, which means that Chengdu Tianfu International Airport has taken off to the world with a unique and confident attitude.
