What kinds of police dogs are there?

1. At present, there are seven kinds of police dogs (working dogs) in active service in China: German shepherd, Kunming, Du Binquan, Rottweiler, Labrador, Malinoa and springer, each with different characteristics and uses.

2. German Shepherd: German Shepherd originated in Germany. As a model of working dog, it is known as the first dog in the world today. German shepherd dog is a very smart and powerful dog breed with strong body and well-proportioned proportion. German shepherd dog is lively and sensitive, bold and brave, calm and obedient, tenacious, easy to train, loyal to its owner, brave and fearless, with fighting nature, enterprising spirit and a wide range of work. It can be called universal working dog as tracking dog, search and rescue dog, patrol dog, rescue dog, fire dog, drug detection dog, blasting dog and guide dog.

3. Kunming dog: Kunming dog is physically strong and has strong adaptability to plateau climate, cold environment and high temperature. Kunming dog is lively, sensitive in smell, extremely loyal to its owner, very attached to people, strong in acceptance, high in obedience, easy to train, confident and fearless, and has the excellent conditions necessary to become an excellent police dog. Kunming dogs are also often trained as tracking dogs, search dogs, investigation dogs, patrol dogs, rescue dogs, fire dogs, guard dogs, drug detection dogs, explosive detection dogs and so on.

4. Du Binquan: Du Binquan is native to Germany, commonly known as Du Binquan. Du Binquan has excellent quality, tough personality, outstanding police performance and strong deterrent appearance, which plays a very important role in working dogs. Doberman is a lively, calm, wise, defensive, alert, energetic, good at running and full of emotion, and an excellent working dog. Easy to train, Du Binquan likes to work, and has good working ability, courage and perseverance. Du Binquan is often used as a guard dog, a tracking dog, a search dog and a patrol dog.

5. Rottweiler: Rottweiler is a working dog, which is produced in Germany. It is strong in appearance, muscular, calm and brave in appearance. Rottweiler is a very smart dog, strong, adaptable and willing to work, which makes it an excellent guard dog and multi-purpose dog. Rottweilers are calm, steady, alert, aggressive, brave, loyal to their owners, excited for a long time, obedient and easy to train. They can be used as guard dogs, tracking dogs, search dogs, investigation dogs and patrol dogs.

6. Labrador: Labrador is native to Newfoundland, with strong body, high IQ, stable and gentle personality, lively and lovely, emotional and non-aggressive. Suitable for being selected as a guide dog or other working dogs. Labradors have an excellent sense of smell and know how to cooperate with their owners. They are often trained as search and rescue dogs, fire dogs, guard dogs, drug detection dogs and explosive search dogs.

7. Marinua Dog: Marinua Dog comes from Belgium, with moderate body shape, symmetrical appearance, compact and lean muscles, extraordinary intelligence, liveliness and excitement, sensitive sense of smell, boldness and fierceness, strong aggression, high alertness, good obedience, good physical fitness, fast running, good bounce and long endurance. From the work field, it is suitable for criminal investigation, public security prevention, drug control, rescue, inspection and quarantine and other work fields; From the professional field, it is suitable for odor identification, tracking, material evidence search, manhunt, drug search, explosion search, patrol, vigilance, waiting, arrest, riot prevention, rescue and other professional fields.

8. Springer: Springer, also known as the English flying hound, is a quick-moving and obedient dog, although it is not very big. Springer dogs are docile, loyal, friendly, happy, brave, cautious, easy to train and willing to obey. Springer dogs have a strong sense of smell, and they have a natural attachment to smell. After training, they can do quite a lot of work. Springer dogs are mainly used as drug detection dogs, explosive search dogs, rescue dogs, anti-smuggling dogs and security dogs in Chinese police.
