Introduction to Diggang Village, Nanxun, Huzhou
Digang Village, Nanxun, Huzhou is a very low-key ancient village, which is too simple compared with Nanxun Town. However, every tourist who comes here will be amazed by the profound cultural heritage here. Here, he can feel the baptism and vicissitudes of time from different latitudes. Let’s introduce it in detail below.
Digang Village is located in Hefu Town, Nanxun District, Huzhou, Zhejiang, not far from the famous Nanxun Town in Huzhou. Diggang Village is surrounded by water, with rivers and ports; Tangwashe, built along the river, is an ancient village with a history of thousands of years. This large river is now known as the "Hangzhou-Huxi Tourism Corridor". A tributary of the Grand Canal to be precise. Nantong, extending to Shanghai in the east and Huzhou, Wuxi and Suzhou in the north.
To the north of Waigandai, there is a beautifully built covered bridge called Dong'an Bridge. There are still inscriptions on the bridge about the time of reconstruction during the Jiaqing-Yizhou period (1805). This is the end of the outer lane and the dividing point between the inner and outer lanes. Cross Dong'an Bridge and turn left, which is the Ligang Corridor.
Digang Village is an ancient village in the Hangjiahu Plain with a history of thousands of years. It was named because of the reeds growing on both sides of the river port in history. It has been known as "Tiaoxi Fishing Hermitage" since ancient times.
The Diggang Waixiang Tower, close to the Guan River on the west line of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, was built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The corridor street under the house runs north-south, is more than 500 meters long, and is about 15 meters deep. It’s not clear exactly when it was built, but it was quite prosperous during the Qing Dynasty and reached its peak during the Republic of China. There are shops and lofts outside the verandah. Walking under the veranda, facing the canal to the east, it forms a complex of buildings.
Someone once said, "There is heaven above, Suzhou and Hangzhou below, and Digan in the middle." This seemingly neglected ancient village, with small bridges and flowing water, and people coming and going, everything is as it should be. look like. There is no hustle and bustle of the surrounding ancient towns here, but more of a rustic nostalgia. The residents of the village seem peaceful and content, and are kind to others.
Qianmiao Bridge is called the Eight-Character Bridge by local villagers because of its eight-character shape. It is located in an important port on the Diggang waterway. The famous Longxi Port on the ancient canal is on the east side of the bridge. It is the only way to pass through floods and droughts at the southern end of Diggang.
The street pavilion is a question booth. Legend has it that a phoenix flew over here and landed on the tree of the Yanjiao temple. Since ancient times, meeting a phoenix in China has been a good omen, so the owner of the Yanjiao Temple asked people to build a dam in the place where the phoenix flew over, shaped like a phoenix head, and built a pavilion on it called Fengjing Pavilion.
It was rebuilt during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty and again during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty to adapt to the temple atmosphere. It was renamed Jinwenguan, which means "guiding the way." During the Tongzhi period, Lu Runxiang, a native of Digang, the number one scholar, inscribed a plaque and it became the gate of Yanjiao Temple. It was the only way to reach Yanjiao Temple through the bridge in front of the temple.
The Yanjiao Temple in Digang Village has a history of more than a thousand years. It was first built in the second year of Xiande (952 AD) in the Tang Dynasty. It was originally named Xingfuyuan and was rebuilt in the first year of Jianlong in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the second year of Zhiping, it was renamed Yanjiao Temple. With the rise and fall of thousands of years of history, the temple has been repeatedly destroyed. It covers an area of ??more than 20 acres, is large in scale and has a long history. It reopened in 1998.
There is also a gate tower on the east side of the gate of Yanjiao Temple, with the gate of "Taishan Qingfu" on it.
The alleys were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with a total length of more than 600 meters, and are connected by Chantian Lane, Shenjie Lane, Niulong Lane and other lanes. Houses built along the water and old-fashioned shops form the ancient and simple Jiangnan streets. The millennium corridors and mottled walls have left traces of history. The words "Long Live the People's Commune" are written on the arched doorway, and the vague slogan clearly shows its age and historical traces.
