Mohe is the northernmost village in Gucheng Island.

The northernmost village in the country is the seat of Mohe township government, called Mohe village or Arctic village. It is a typical private house unique to the border. There is also the sun here, but it's lazy, as if it doesn't shine or give off heat, just floating low in the air. Zig zag, the car, rolled out dark ruts on the silver-white snowy road and persistently extended into the distance. The birch trees on the roadside are tall and straight, with Pinus sylvestris var. Mongolian oak is green and vigorous, which makes the white eyes full of eyes highlight a cold vitality, but it is still desolate.

There is a drooping red sign on a wooden fence in the village, which reads: Looking for the north, please go to Mohe. It makes people laugh. In fact, the biggest feature of Mohe Village is that any place can be said to be the northernmost in China. Therefore, they all have their own special significance. There is the northernmost home, the northernmost post office, the northernmost police station, the northernmost shopping center, the northernmost primary school, the northernmost township government in China ... and even the northernmost toilet!

The northernmost home in China is actually a family living in the northernmost part of Mohe Township. It is said that this location was verified by experts through latitude and longitude measurement, and now it is also a landmark building and family hotel in the Arctic Village. The brand-new wooden house is still being expanded. About 200 meters south of here is a geomagnetic observatory established by the National Meteorological Administration to measure and monitor the changes of the earth's magnetic field.

My trip to Mohe ended happily looking for the north and seeing the north. I know that the transcendental beauty and coolness of Mohe in winter have been deeply branded into my memory.
