There are different opinions about the osmanthus in this poem. One explanation is that there are different kinds of sweet-scented osmanthus, such as spring flowers, autumn flowers and four-season flowers. Here is a kind of spring flowers. It is said that Wang Wei's "Yuan An Lying in the Snow" has green plantains in the snow, and things that cannot appear at the same time in real life are allowed in literary and artistic creation. They don't fly away from the spring, or even take off, but occasionally make a sound in the trees. They are not so much "surprised" as they feel fresh about the moon coming out. The last sentence, "The birds are startled when the moon rises, and the spring brook is singing", is based on moving and writing quietness. A "surprise" and a "singing" seem to break the tranquility of the night, but in fact, the description of sound reflects the quietness and leisure in the mountains: the moon emerges from the clouds, the quiet moonlight pours down, and several birds wake up from their sleep and whisper to each other from time to time, echoing the thin sound of running water in the spring brook.

He used to be an official in Tailecheng, and then abandoned his official to live in seclusion. In 729 (the seventeenth year of Kaiyuan), he studied Tujia education from Daoguang Zen master of Dajianfu Temple in Chang 'an. In the 19th year of Kaiyuan, Wang Wei's wife died. He never remarried and lived alone for thirty years.

Wang Wei wrote many poems in his life. His poems "Moonlight in the pine forest, Crystal stone in the stream" and "I will walk until the water blocks my way, and then sit and watch the clouds rising in Ran Ran" often reveal a little Zen in pure spirit. In his paintings, the brush is fresh and the pen and ink fade in. After reading his paintings, you can naturally appreciate the unique artistic connotation revealed in elegance and lightness. Su Shi once said this; "The taste in poetry is fascinating, and there are paintings in poetry; Look at the picture, there are poems in the picture. " "

In landscape painting, Wang Wei can be regarded as an epoch-making landscape painter. His green landscape is like Li Sixun, and his ink landscape is close to Wu Daozi.
