In 2002, Shagang acquired its subsidiary Hoshi Steel Plant from ThyssenKrupp, the largest steel company in Europe, at a price of 220 million yuan, and moved the most spectacular factory in the world to China as a whole. As a result, Shagang's production capacity jumped to 65.438+million tons. This transaction became the most important watershed in Shagang's development history.
