Heilongjiang Province Jixi Prison is located in Jiguan New District, Jixi City. In January 2004, the original Hadagan Prison and Jixi Prison in Jixi City merged to form Heilongjiang Province Jixi Prison. It is a prison for light-duty prisoners.

The main responsibilities of the Heilongjiang Provincial Prison Administration Bureau are:

(1) Implement national laws and regulations on prison reform of criminals, formulate relevant regulations and systems for prison work in the province, and Organization and implementation.

(2) Supervise and guide the execution of prison sentences, prison administration, life management, medical and health management, education reform, prison investigation and labor reform in the province's prisons. Responsible for the approval of temporary sentences outside prison for criminals according to authority. (3) Guide the detention and rehabilitation of important criminals, and be responsible for the detention and transfer of criminals in prisons across the province.

(4) Formulate development plans for directly affiliated units and organize their implementation, and guide the prison affairs disclosure and government affairs disclosure work of directly affiliated units.

(5) Responsible for the science and technology and information construction of the province’s prison system, and guide the construction of prison facilities across the province.

(6) Guide the construction of the people's police team of agencies and directly affiliated units, supervise the law enforcement of the people's police of agencies and directly affiliated units, and be responsible for grassroots party building, ideological and political work and leadership team building of agencies and directly affiliated units, according to Responsible for the management of leading cadres of agencies and directly affiliated units, and responsible for the publicity work of agencies and directly affiliated units.

(7) Responsible for the safety production work in this industry. Guide and supervise the labor protection and environmental protection work of directly affiliated units.

(9) Complete other tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government.
