The total length of Lianhuo Expressway is 4395 kilometers.

Lianhuo Expressway runs through the east, middle and west of Chinese mainland. It connects Lianyungang in Jiangsu and Horgos in Xinjiang, passing through seven provinces including Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, Shaanxi, Gansu and Xinjiang, and passing through six provinces. It is the longest horizontal rapid land transportation corridor built in China. Lianyungang-Xi 'an section of Lianhuo Expressway is included in Trans-Asian Highway Line 34, while Xi 'an-Horgos section is included in Trans-Asian Highway Line 5, which is commonly known as China artery.

Lianyungang-Horgos Expressway, referred to as Lianhuo Expressway, is one of the east-west trunk lines of China national expressway network. It was originally the fourth national trunk line with five verticals and seven horizontals, with the name of G30.

Important projects of Lianhuo Expressway

Wushaoling Tunnel Group includes five tunnels, namely Wushaoling, Anyuan, Foerwan, Gaoling and Gulang, with a total length of 43.8 kilometers. Wushaoling Tunnel, located in two fault fracture zones, is the tunnel with the highest grade of surrounding rock among the five tunnels, with only 70% of V-grade surrounding rock and some VI-grade surrounding rock. The tunnel group of Wushaoling Expressway with a total length of 43.84 kilometers has high altitude, complex geological conditions and dense number of tunnels, which is called the most difficult throat project of Lianhuo Line.

Qin Zhou Tunnel is a key control project in Tianding section of Lianhuo Expressway, with an upward line of 4.63 kilometers and a downward line of 4.59 kilometers. It is the longest tunnel in Tianding Expressway, which is located in the earthquake fault zone.
