1In March 1998, at the first meeting of the Ninth National Committee of the China People's Political Consultative Conference, 15 members of the social welfare sector put forward Proposal No.2330 on Suggesting to Carry out Ear-loving Day Publicity Activities in view of the present situation of high incidence, large number, great harm and weak prevention of deafness in China. This proposal has attracted the attention of relevant departments, and the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the Ministry of Health and other departments 10 agreed to designate March 3rd of each year as National Ear Love Day.
