Many of the houses that North Koreans live in in rural areas are relatively old, but very neat. Houses like to be built at the foot of mountains, said to be to avoid encroaching on farmland. The scenery in North Korea's rural areas is very beautiful. There is no garbage in the village. As far as the eye can see, the sky is clear.

However, according to personal observation, the rural areas of North Korea are mountainous and the land is not very fertile. Farmland in rural areas of North Korea is often filled with grain from the roadside to the mountainside. In rural areas of North Korea, red slogans can be seen planted in the fields from time to time. Next to many villages, there will also be a monument. Later, according to our tour guide, it was the Tower of Eternal Life. There is a big difference between the clothing of North Korean rural people and that of Pyongyang people. Their clothes are very simple. In rural areas, you can hardly see men wearing shirts and leather shoes, and you can hardly see girls wearing skirts and high heels.

Most rural people in North Korea wear cloth shoes when going out, and some even wear rain boots. On the train, our tour leader also told me about her experiences in North Korea. According to our tour leader, when North Korean rural people hold banquets, they often dress up to attend. At this time, people going to the wedding banquet cannot wear dirty and old clothes, but can only wear the best. However, some people do not have good clothes at home, so they will ask others to borrow better clothes, and then change into their own dirty clothes when they get home. Borrowing clothes is not uncommon in rural areas of North Korea. What the team leader said made me feel incredible. I just feel like I have experienced the life of ordinary people in rural North Korea.

When I was in North Korea, I found that people here attach great importance to saving water and electricity. When they flush the toilet, they use ladles to ladle water to flush the toilet. In addition, North Koreans also love cleanliness very much. Although the living environment is not very good, it is kept very tidy. Many North Koreans also like to put wallpaper on their walls. When you go to the suburbs of Pyongyang, you will see some large buildings similar to factories, and the residential buildings on the roadside are also three or four-story buildings. Various flowers and plants are planted between the houses.

The skin of North Korean rural people is very tanned, and their clothes are mainly gray and blue. It is not as glamorous as the citizens of Pyongyang. As our train gets closer to Pyongyang, there are more high-rise buildings and more cars.
