On the morning of May 30th, 1925, Yin Jingyi, president of Tongji University Student Union and vice captain of the parade brigade, led the parade of Tongji University to gather on the playground, and workers from China Iron Works in Kunzaobang also attended. After the train arrived at Tiantong 'an Station, they, together with the workers of Zhanghuabang Locomotive Repair Shop, waved flags and shouted slogans and headed for Nanjing Road. When the motorcade arrived at the gate of Yongan Company, Yin Jingyi was the first to give a warm speech. His high-pitched Shandong accent attracted many pedestrians to stop and listen.

The vast number of patriotic students and people from all walks of life in Shanghai set off the climax of the anti-imperialist patriotic movement, and many anti-imperialist parades composed of workers and students marched to the Shanghai Concession one after another. On this day, they gave impassioned speeches to people from all walks of life in the concession, distributed leaflets, posted slogans and cartoons, and exposed various crimes of imperialism. British imperialism hated the anti-imperialist patriotic actions of the people of China, and sent a large number of patrols to closely monitor them. At noon, Laomenguan arrest room began to arrest people, and arrested more than 10 lecture students. The students rushed to the arrest room of Laomenguan together to fight with the police and ask them to release them. After noon, lecture teams from various schools gathered together, and workers, shop assistants and primary and secondary school teachers also joined the ranks of students.

In the afternoon, more and more workers and students gave speeches and publicity. They held banners such as "workers unite" and "down with imperialism" and went directly to Nanjing Lushixian Company to participate in the parade. In downtown areas, "people gather together like ants and drive them away."

At 2 pm, more than 65,438+000 lecture students were put into the arrest room. The arrested people were fearless, knocking on doors and windows, patting tables and chairs, arguing with the enemy and turning the old gatehouse upside down.
