The subject should be the sender of the action in the sentence and should be a noun. The predicate is the verb in the sentence, such as the linking verb be, the modal verb can, the substantive verb do, etc. The object is located after the predicate, that is, what is done. Things are nouns. Predicatives are used after the verb be, usually nouns or adjectives. Adverbials play a limiting role, such as time adverbials and place adverbials.
