Caofeidian tourist scenic spot

Caofeidian wetland is the largest coastal wetland in the north. The total area is 540 square kilometers, including provincial wetland and bird nature reserve 1 10 square kilometers. There are more than 200 species of wild animals and plants in the wetland, including 238 species of wild plants belonging to 63 families 164 genera and 307 species of birds belonging to 52 families 17 orders. Caofeidian Wetland is the permanent meeting place of Caofeidian Forum and has the largest wetland hot spring center in North China. It is a tourism, leisure and holiday community integrating bird protection, wetland experience, popular science education, business clubs, sports and leisure, cultural creativity and ecological residence.

2. Caofei Lake

There is a beautiful and touching legend by the lake of Cao Fei. It is said that in the 19th year of Zhenguan (645), Li Shimin led an expedition to North Korea, and the coastal highway passed through here. Due to the humid climate and acclimatization, soldiers in the army suffer from skin diseases and need urgent treatment. Fisherman Cao Xian led the soldiers to heal after bathing in the local hot springs. Li Shimin was very happy and summoned Cao Xian. Seeing her intelligence, wisdom, natural beauty, gentleness and understanding, she was crowned a concubine.

There is an ancient lighthouse on Caofeidian Island, which guides navigation at sea. After many repairs, the natural phenomenon of "Ancient Well Gu Quan" and the story and legend of "Fa Ben Zen Master burning fingers and turning lights" appeared on the island.

Caofeidian's history and culture are diverse, including the fishing and salt culture of ancestors, the pioneering culture of 300,000 agricultural workers reclaiming land for planting rice and opening canals to divert water, the red culture of "Shajiabang in the north" in Caofeidian's ebb tide bay to treat the wounded of the Eighth Route Army, the folk culture of Sanhua in eastern Hebei, the celebrity culture in Zhang Can's hometown and the Mazu culture with Mazu belief as the core, which constitute Caofeidian's rich cultural connotation.
