The date of President's visit to the Soviet Union is 65438+February 65438+June. What articles will the enemy spy use the chairman's visit to do? Is it possible to be assassinated? Yang Qiqing, Vice Minister of Public Security, asked everyone to solve the case as soon as possible to ensure Chairman Mao's personal safety. Yang Qiqing personally took the lead and set up a task force composed of elite forces of the Ministry of Public Security and the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau.

The task force was set up, but where to start the investigation? At that time, the task force knew nothing about the enemy spy except the decoded message and a spy code "0409".

Investigators first guessed that "0409" might be a surname and translated it into Chinese characters, that is, a word in "Guo, Gong, Gu and Guo". Following this train of thought, the task force began to investigate from two aspects: first, using the telecom direction finder to find the position of the enemy station in Beijing; The second is to look for suspects who may be related to this case in the four surnames of "Guo, Gong, Gu and Guo" from the household registration files of various branches in Beijing.

But what she didn't expect was that it was the exposure of this information that became an important clue for the task force to successfully solve the case.

The investigation found that the address left by "Ji Ailin" was within the jurisdiction of the tenth police station of the second branch of Beijing Public Security Bureau. There are three families living in No.7 * * of this compound. One of them is Shen, and the head of the family is Shen Degan, a businessman. Shen Degang's wife is Ji Zhimei, Ji Zhimei's sister is Ji Cainan, and her niece is Ji Ling Xue. All three women live in Shenyang. Which of these three people is Miss Ji in the telegram?

From the age point of view, Ji is only 15 years old, and she is still a student, which is unlikely; Ji Zhimei is 35 years old and Ji Cainan is 29 years old. In contrast, the investigators focused on Ji Cainan. According to the investigation of Beijing Xinqiao Trade Department Company, Ji Cainan is an employee of the company. It is basically certain that the "Miss Ji" in the news is Shen Degang's sister-in-law Ji Cainan.

Although the suspects were initially identified, the task force did not know what articles they would publish using the information visited by the Chairman. In order to avoid alarm, the case handlers launched an external investigation.

The first is to monitor Ji cainan's whereabouts and monitor her phone calls; Then arrange informants near Shen Zhai to monitor their daily actions. Soon, the informant reported that once he heard Shen Degan quarreling with his wife Ji Zhimei, Shen Degan shouted loudly: "I still don't know where you got the money? ! I want to sue you, you don't want to live! " It turned out that Shen Degan often borrowed money from Ji Cainan for business reasons. Ji Zhimei asked Shen Degan to return the money to his sister, so they quarreled.

Soon, new progress was made in the peripheral investigation of Ji Cainan.

The investigation found that Ji Cainan had a brother named Ji Zhaotang and a younger brother named Ji Zhaoxiang besides her sister Ji Zhimei. Seeing the name Ji, the case handlers remembered one thing.

After the liberation of Beiping, Xu Zongyao, the stationmaster of Beiping Station of the Kuomintang Secrecy Bureau, handed over all the names of enemy agents he had mastered to the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau. According to the records, the Ministry of the Interior of the National Government once set up a school in Beiping to train police. The students in this school mainly study lurking, collecting intelligence, sending and receiving newspapers, poisoning, assassination, blasting and so on. Ji was the last batch of graduates from 65438 to 0948.

According to Ye Qinglin, the detained spy, on the eve of the liberation of Beiping, Chen, the captain of the Kuomintang appeasement, arranged a group of spies to lurk in Beijing before retreating, and Ji was one of them. Ye Qinglin also revealed that he had seen Ji take his wife to the hospital for examination in March 1949. Based on this, the task force analyzed that Ji is probably still in Beijing, which may be related to the radio station we are looking for.

At the same time, there has also been a major breakthrough in intercepting telecom vehicles. According to the characteristics of time, technique, frequency, wavelength, etc., the Information Department of the Military Commission has repeatedly monitored that the radio station is at the south fork of the Nanheyan Ciqiku, not far from Wangfujing. After searching the residents in this area, a suspicious person named Ji Xu surfaced.

Ji Xu, a Beijinger, was born in 1924, and is an employee of Zhoukoudian Zhonghua Coal Mine Company; Wife Wu Lan, born in1925; The couple have a son, Ji Hong, who is under one year old. A family of three rented in Zhangjia Courtyard, No.7 Nancha Road.

His surname is Ji, and he is within the range of radio transmission. Could he be Ji?

Public security personnel quickly found the photos of Heji, and after comparison, they found that they were indeed the same person. Cao Chun also asked two detained students in the special training class to identify them in the street. When they saw the shopping coming back, they immediately recognized it as Ji! In addition, the general manager of Zhoukoudian Zhonghua Coal Mine Company was none other than Ji's brother-in-law Shen Degan. In this way, all the evidence has been confirmed: it is discipline.

Confirmed the identity of Ji, is Ji a latent spy code-named "0409"?

Judging from the household registration, Ji moved three times in one year; The intercepted telegram was also found, and he reported his last operation to Taiwan Province Province. Because he had no money, he applied to the Taiwan authorities for funds, and said in the telegram that flour was used as rent, which was consistent with the landlord's statement. The most important thing is that every time he moves, the position of the radio signal detected by the telecom car is basically the same.

The investigators checked Ji's electricity meter on the grounds of checking the electricity meter, and found that their daily electricity consumption was several times higher than that of ordinary people. The scout also installed a small light bulb in a room in the compound to monitor the telecommunication signal. It turns out that the flashing frequency of the light bulb is exactly the same as that of the radio station.

All the evidence shows that this lurking radio station is in Ji's home!

In order to catch the big fish, the task force was not in a hurry to catch Ji. Yang Qiqing handed over the investigation of this case to Li Kenong, because he wanted to arrange security for Chairman Mao's visit to China. Li Kenong requires that Ji Zhaoxiang and Ji Cainan be monitored, and Ji Zhaoxiang is the most important one.

Taiwan province seems to be aware of the danger, and in the message instructed Ji not to let Miss Ji help him withdraw money. Ji Zhaoxiang accepted the instruction and changed the cashier to Wu Guangyu. Wu Guangyu is the cousin of Ji's wife and one of the shareholders of Tianjin Zhongxiang Cotton Farm. A few days later, the Taiwan Province Provincial Secrecy Bureau instructed Wang Shousheng of Tianjin Tianyuan Yiji Bank to give 20 taels of gold to Wu Guangyu, and then gave it to Ji Zhaoxiang.

In the face of ironclad facts, the Ji brothers and sisters confessed to espionage.

According to the trial, as in the TV series "Latent", he was responsible for all the work of radio editing and directing, telegraphy, information translation and intelligence collection and sorting. Therefore, Ji was called "World Station" by enemy agents, and other agents were his peripheral assistants.

Ji confessed that from February 6, 1949 to his arrest, he sent 265,438 manuscripts and sent and received 30,000 words. Through his information, six B-24 bombers of the Kuomintang Air Force blew up four planes at Beiyuan Airport, causing more than 20 casualties. It turned out that Mao Renfeng, director of the Kuomintang Secrecy Bureau, immediately reported to Chiang Kai-shek after receiving information from Ji. With the consent of Chiang Kai-shek, Mao Renfeng decided to carry out the assassination, and organized the "Northeast Underground Technical Column" by using enemy agents lurking in the northeast.

Their plan is:

Divide the "column" into two ways, intercept it from the two wings of the special train on the way to the Soviet Union, destroy the Changchun 14 railway all the way, subvert the special train, and then intercept it on the spot. Another road lurks in Harbin station. If the first road is unsuccessful, the second road will plant a time bomb in the place where the special train passes, creating a second "Huanggutun incident". Due to the rush of time, Chairman Mao had gone to the Soviet Union before they arranged it. They are going to assassinate the chairman again after he returns home.

According to Ji and others, the public security personnel were waiting for the spy in a hidden place. The spy sent by Taiwan Province Province to assassinate parachuted as soon as he landed, and was immediately captured by me. Later, investigators pretended to be agents of Taiwan Province Province, got in touch with the "Northeast Underground Technical Column" and caught them all.

On June 2, 1950, the Military Justice Bureau of Beijing Military Management Committee sentenced Ji to death according to law, and other relevant personnel were punished accordingly according to the seriousness of the case.
