"The Law of the People's Republic of China and National Defense against Epidemics", "The Animal Husbandry Law of the People's Republic of China", "The Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" and "The Law of the People's Republic of China on Breeding Regulations on Livestock and Poultry Management" and "Work Safety Law of the People's Republic of China"

Article 1 is to regulate the production and operation of livestock industry, ensure the quality and safety of livestock and poultry products, and protect and rationally utilize livestock and poultry genetic resources. This law is formulated to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of livestock producers and operators and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the livestock industry.

Article 2 This Law shall apply to activities such as the protection and utilization, breeding, raising, operation, and transportation of livestock and poultry genetic resources within the territory of the People's Republic of China.

The term “livestock and poultry” as mentioned in this Law refers to the livestock and poultry included in the catalog of livestock and poultry genetic resources published in accordance with the provisions of Article 11 of this Law. The relevant provisions of this Law shall apply to the protection, utilization, production and operation of bee and silkworm resources.
